Getting Started
TCG stands for Trading Card Game. It's an online game where you can trade cards from a specific subject online with other members of the same game. The goal is to collect all of the cards you like in order to master the deck!
Geronimo is a trading card game based on Doctor Who, a British science fiction television series produced by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). The show’s original run lasted 26 years, from 1963 to 1989. Remembered for its primitive special effects and compelling story lines, Doctor Who became a landmark of British popular culture. The series resumed to much acclaim in 2005.
Your Trade Post
A trade post is your own personal website where you store all the cards and daleks you've earned from Geronimo. At minimum, your trade post should include:
- Decks you are currently collecting and trying to master
- Cards that you don't want to collect or keep at all and are willing to trade away
- Detailed activity and trade logs to show every card and dalek that you gained and lost
- Card worth, level/stats, and a link back to Geronimo
- A way to contact you, either a form or an email link, so you can trade
Some other options to include are:
- Decks that you plan on mastering later but are not focusing on at the moment (but are still accepting cards from them in incoming trades)
- Decks that you are thinking about collecting but are willing to trade away for your current collecting deck
- Trades that you have sent to other companions but are waiting on a reply
When trading with other companions, don't forget to replace the cards you traded away with the cards you're receiving!
Your Starter Pack
When you join Geronimo, you will receive a pack of random cards to help get you started. This is a starter pack, and it includes:
- Three (3) random cards from the deck you have chosen to collect
- Six (6) random cards from different decks
- One (1) random dalek added to your Time Capsule
How to Earn Cards & Daleks
There are many ways to grow your card collection and earn some daleks:
- Participating in adventures
- Taking free cards from updates
- Having a birthday
- Levelling up and mastering decks
- Donating images, ideas, link buttons, etc
- Trading with other companions of the game
- And so much more!
Policies
Respect. Please be respectful of all companions here at Geronimo. Any disrerspectful behavior will not be tolerated.
Suitable Content. We are a fun game open to everyone. Please be mindful when uploading images anywhere on the site.
Username. When you register, you will need to pick a username. This is what you will use to login with and how other companions will refer to you as. We ask that you use your first name, or a believable nickname. If your name/nickname is already taken please choose different or add a single number after your name.
Trade Post. You must provide a valid email address and website URL before applying to Geronimo. If either one of these are not in working order you will be unable to be accepted.
Earning. You will not be able to earn any cards, play adventures, or take freebies from updates prior to your approval date.
Approval. When you join the game, you will first be placed on pending until your form is reviewed. Activities on the site will be limited until you are accepted. In order to be approved you must upload your starter pack to your trade post within two weeks. You will receive notification once approved and can begin playing!
Updates. In order to reward active companions, you may only take new decks and other freebies from the current update. This means if you miss a week you cannot go back and claim any cards.
Activity. Your trade post has to be update at least once a month if you wish to remain an active companion of Geronimo. If you do not update for two or more months then you will be moved to inactive and will need to submit a form in your member panel. You will not be able to play adventures or take cards from updates until your form is approved.
Cheating. There really is no need to. It ruins the satisfaction of the actual game play. Everything gets logged everywhere for a reason.
Link Back. You must provide a link back to Geronimo on your trade post so you can refer others to the TCG.
Logs. You must keep a log on your trade post for both activity and trading. This is a requirement to show how you got your cards. You also have a log here at Geronimo that keeps track of your site activities.
Referrals
Each time a new companion joins and selects you as their referrer to Geronimo you will be rewarded:
- Two (2) random cards
- One (1) random dalek
Regenerating
Where you are in your regeneration cycle is determined by your total card worth.

Rewards for Regenerating
- Initiation - Studying Cybernetics: One (1) choice card, four (4) random cards, and one (1) random dalek
- Studying Thermodynamics - Scendles Chapter: Two (2) choice cards, five (5) random cards, and two (2) random daleks
- Cerulean Chapter - Prydonian Chapter: Three (3) choice card, six (6) random cards, and three (3) random dalek
Beyond the Prydonian Chapter
After completing the Prydonian Chapter you will regenerate one more time and be given your Time Lord name. Every calendar month afterwards you will receive four (4) choice cards, seven (7) random cards, and one (1) random dalek as you will no longer be regenerating.
Mastering Decks
Once you have collected all of the cards in a deck, you have mastered the deck and can no longer trade away any of these cards (except for doubles, of course).
Rewards for Mastering
- Big Deck (25 cards): Two (2) choice cards, five (5) random cards, and two (2) random daleks
- Small Deck (15 cards): One (1) choice card, four (4) random cards, and one (1) random dalek
First Masters
If you are the first person to master a deck, you will receive the regular rewards for mastering PLUS the following:
- Two (2) choice cards from different decks
- Two (2) random daleks
Victories
By completing different tasks you can earn more rewards and unlock cards in your personal victory deck. These cards are worth 2 and are tradable only with another Companion's victory deck card of the same number. After you unlock a card you have an unlimited amount to trade with other companions while still keeping one for yourself. You may complete these victories in any order you would like.

Card Types
We have 3 different card types here at Geronimo. Regular cards are worth 1 and divided into 10 categories: Episodes, Scenes, Characters, Relationships, Minisodes, Novelisations, Promotional Images, Photoshoots, Actors, Actresses. Companion cards are worth 0 and fully tradable with other companions. Event cards are worth 2 and are not tradable.

Time Capsule & Paradigm Daleks
Here at Geronimo you will sometimes earn Paradigm daleks which can be traded for cards. Your daleks are automatically recorded on the site and kept in your Time Capsule.
